I am a trained Egyptologist, having earned my degree from Cairo University in ancient Egyptian history. I have over 16 years of experience creating and leading tours across Egypt. I am a member of the Egyptian General Tourist Guides Syndicate.

I have visited all of the major sites and most of the minor sites. It’s exciting how many new sites and treasures are still being discovered every year. As often as I see some of the sites, I never tire of visiting them and discovering something new or different each time.

I have led groups as large as 100 and as small as a single excited visitor. I enjoy guiding new visitors on their first trip to our extraordinary country. And I am always excited to welcome back friends who have visited before. I have one guest who has travelled with me across Egypt several times. There is always more to see!

I was born and raised in Luxor. I have an amazing wife and 3 children, who, along with my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, live in Luxor city.

In my precious free moments between tours, I spend time with my family, enjoy trips to the Red Sea, sharing coffee and shisha with friends, and assisting at archaeology dig sites. I find solace at the ancient Mosque of Sultan Hassan and diving in the Red Sea. I also volunteer with groups doing environmental clean-up efforts at the Red Sea and along the Nile River. 

I am passionate about Egypt, its rich and storied history and its vibrant present. I look forward to helping you create your best Egypt adventure.
